Steve has been a Purchasing Manager and Operations Manager for multiple companies over the last 20 years. These manufacturing companies include electronics, the medical field, pet food, vacuum cleaners, woodworking, and third party logistics. Most recently Steve managed the supply chain of all computers from Dell being delivered and installed at Boeing.

Steve has recently transitioned from private business to teaching business and purchasing and supply chain management classes. Steve's diverse background gives him a large experience pool with which to apply the business concepts that I share with my students via course development and course facilitation.
Steve has an MBA in Finance from Northcentral University and a B.A. in Business Administration from Quincy University. Steve received his MBA through online classes so he is very familiar with being an online student and the pressures faced by students working in the online environment. Steve is pursuing his PhD and has only the dissertation to complete.
Steve holds the C.P.M. (Certified Purchasing Manager) certification from the Institute of Supply Management and plans to take the CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) this year.
Jim Haile's professional career in industry has stretched over a period of 30 years. Jim is presently Procurement Manager for McNeil Nutritionals (a Division of J&J) in Fort Washington, PA where he provides strategic sourcing leadership in the acquisition of contract manufacturers, packaging and ingredients. He is also the Supplier Diversity Resource for McNeil Nutritionals. McNeil Nutritionals markets and sells Splenda, Viactiv, Lactaid and Benecol.
In 2003, Jim was named as the Director of Purchasing for the Tasty Baking Company in Philadelphia. Tasty Baking is one of the county's largest bakeries of snack foods such as Tastykake Krimpets, cupcakes, Kandykakes, pies, donuts and other sweet snacks. Jim provided strategic sourcing leadership in the acquisition of ingredients, packaging, equipment and other materials/services.
In late 1998, Jim became the Global Sourcing Commodity Leader for the DuPont Company in Wilmington, Delaware. Products manufactured by DuPont can be found in the areas of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, specialty chemicals, and high performance materials. Jim was responsible for acquiring consulting services, contract labor, security services, life/safety services/equipment, and contract manufacturing.
In late 1996, Jim was named Director of Purchasing for PRIMESTAR Partners located in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. This national firm provided direct satellite television programming to consumers. He was responsible for the acquisition of approximately $425 million dollars worth of satellite broadcast/reception equipment, engineering services, computer hardware/software, marketing/sales materials and general materials/services.
In 1995, Jim joined Nabisco, Inc. (Phila.) as Purchasing Manager. This facility manufactured cookies and snack products such as Lorna Doone, Oreo, Honey Maid Grahams, Ritz crackers, Better Cheddars and Snackwell Breakfast Bars. He was responsible for the acquisition of engineering services, maintenance operating supplies, capital equipment and general materials/services for this bakery.
Prior to Nabisco, Jim worked for Scott Paper Company in a variety of purchasing positions ranging from Buyer to Materials Manager at the Dover, Del. production site to Consumer Marketing Procurement Manager and to Supply Mgmt-Program Leader. During his 19 year tenure at Scott, Jim spent his first year as a Research Engineer.
Jim's professional career began in 1972 as a Customer Service Engineer for Rockwell International in Reading, Penna.
Jim has an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from Temple University. He also has a Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton and an MBA from Widener University. Jim has achieved professional recognition as a Lifetime Certified Procurement Manager (C.P.M.) and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.

From 1984 to 1986, Jim served as Chairman of the Board for Kent Sussex Industries (a sheltered workshop for the disabled in the State of Delaware). He has been most involved in various youth/adult grass-root activities within the African-American Community over the past number of years in the Wilmington, South Jersey and Philadelphia areas. He is the former Co-Chair of the Community Relations Committee for the Black MBA Association. In 1994, Jim was recognized by the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Black MBA Association as the 'MBA of the Year'. Jim was a member of the five person Splenda Club Out of Box Team that who received the 2008 J&J Sustainability Award for Green Product.
Jim is also an Adjunct Professor, who teaches a variety of supply chain courses, at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia. He is also a visiting professor at Howard University in their Supply management MBA Program.

Jim is the father of four talented daughters who have all obtained their college degrees.
John Fleming is a practicing attorney who has managed numerous vendor relationships in the supply chain for companies represented by Mr. Fleming during his 18-year legal career. John is currently General Counsel for ESIS, Inc., a risk management service company and one of the ACE Group of Companies. Prior to entering the legal profession as a commercial litigator in 1991, Mr. Fleming served as a Law Clerk for Justice Andrew G.T. Moore of the Delaware Supreme Court.
John earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Villanova University (1987) and his Law Degree from Widener University School of Law (cum laude 1991). Mr. Fleming also earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Saint Joseph's University (2000) in which he was presented with the Graduate Business Award as the top-ranked M.B.A. graduate with a 4.0 G.P.A.
